The story felt much more personal and emotional than I expected going in. The relationship between Tae-hee and Kit was written with a lot of care, especially the quieter moments where she slowly begins to recognise pieces of her brother in someone who no longer looks like him. Their bond carried a mix of grief, confusion, and hope that made the story feel very human despite the fantasy elements.
I also really liked the warmth of KSH House and the sense of found family between the characters.
My only small criticism is that some of the backstory and explanations around the threlphax slowed the pacing a little in the middle. Still, the emotional depth and character relationships kept me invested right until the end.
