I just finished "Of Kith and Kin" by Laura Lee Dooley and I’m honestly so emotionally invested in this story 🥺📖✨
What starts as a quiet, almost mysterious reunion between twins quickly unfolds into something much deeper and more layered. The connection between Tae-soo (Kit) and Tae-hee felt raw and complex—there’s love, doubt, and so much unresolved history that made their interactions really powerful.
I loved the cozy yet intriguing vibe of KSH House 🏡 It felt like a safe space at first, filled with interesting characters who slowly become a found family. Sameer and Jong-hyun added so much charm, but Jong especially stood out for me. His relationship with Kit develops so naturally, and their romance feels soft, genuine, and comforting 💖
But just when things start to feel warm, the story takes a darker, more intense turn. The introduction of the threlphax and the hidden past adds a unique supernatural twist that raises the stakes beautifully 😮💨
There’s grief, danger, and emotional depth woven throughout, which made it hard to put down.
If you enjoy character-driven stories with found family, slow-burn romance, and a touch of mystery and fantasy, this one is truly captivating 🌙✨
